Found an local manufacturer, who doesn’t actually manufacturer frames locally but in Taiwan and Northern Italy, who produce an aluminium bike called the Onya. A quaint name that said quickly as in, “Onya Bike” reveals a cute pun. The Onya I find to be very pleasing to my eye. It is available in 8-speed internal and 9-speed internal gear-hub versions, too. I particularly like the bullhorn bars in black grip tape with the yellow-orange frame.
Ideally I’d like it with either trekking/euro bars, or the bullhorns with bar ends pointing to the centre and upwards, mechanical disc brakes (Avid BB7) – oh, and add a Rohloff. *big smile*
Speaking of Rohloffs there is another auction for a speedhub on eBay and it happens to be from OZEPX who also sell the Onya. OZEPX is also known as Cyclic Bicycles of Flemington in my home city.
